Resurrection Preschool & Toddler Program
Begun in 1970 by Resurrection Lutheran Church, Resurrection Preschool & Toddler Program has been offering a high quality education for 2-5 year olds since its inception. This play-based, developmentally appropriate program works to build within each child a positive concept of self and others, a sense of competency, and a love of learning in a diverse classroom that welcomes children of all faiths, classes and races. We believe in creating a diverse, multi-cultural classroom where our children can celebrate all faiths and cultures.
About
Since 1970 Resurrection Preschool & Toddler Program has offered the highest quality early childhood program in a warm, nurturing environment. Our program is accredited by the
National Association for the Education of Young People (NAEYC), which recognizes excellence in early childhood education.
Our philosophy is simple: as educators, we help each child gain a positive self-concept, a sense of competency, and a love of learning. Our classroom activities focus on the “whole child”, including each child’s social, language, cognitive, emotional, and physical development. We also place emphasis on balancing child-selected activities with teacher-directed activities.
Our Preschool Program offers:
- An excellent teacher-child ratio – currently 1:6.
- Small classroom size – we are licensed for up to 24 children in each session.
- Highly trained staff – at least one teacher in each session holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Our staff knows the importance of life-long learning and attends in-service workshops, education conferences, and early childhood classes. We are enthusiastic learners, exploring new theories and practices in early childhood development.
- Mixed age program – for children 3-5 years old.
- Both morning and afternoon sessions are held four days a week
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
- Morning session: 9:00 to 11:30 AM
- Afternoon session: 12:45 to 3:15 PM
- Wednesday Afternoon Enrichment Program - for older Preschoolers - ages 4-5
Our Toddler Program offers:
- Follows the same play-based, developmentally-appropriate philosophy as our Preschool Program.

Fundraising & Events:
MAKE A DONATIONFundraising is a very important aspect of parental participation. Our programs’ success over the years is the result of not only having a great teaching staff, but also a supportive parent body.
Each year, the parents of Resurrection preschoolers sponsor a major fundraising event, usually an auction benefit, The Apple Bash. The Apple Bash fundraiser is run entirely by our parents and raises money to help off-set our operating budget, provide tuition assistance to families, provide funds for professional development for staff and provide money to purchase needed classroom equipment and maintenance.
In addition to The Apple Bash, Resurrection Preschool & Toddler Program will conduct several smaller fundraisers during the year to raise money for special projects. Parents and friends of Resurrection Preschool & Toddler Program are encouraged to participate and to suggest their own fundraising ideas. Please
contact the Director with your great ideas!
