Manna Meals
The Bible tells us that manna was the nourishment that God provided to the Israelites in their journey through the wilderness. Manna Meals is our response to the need for nourishment today.
We all know that food can provide comfort in stressful times – and that stress occurs from happy occasions as well as sad occasions. Nourishment is important, but the lack of time or ability to prepare a meal, or the lack of money to supply a meal can add to the stress.
Through the following efforts we provide comfort food to people in and around our community.
Daily Bread Bags: We assemble lunch/snack bags to have on hand in the church office to nourish neighbors who stop by for assistance.
Cookie Sunday: We bake and package over 300 chocolate chip cookies each month to nourish youth in our community through
The Night Ministry.
Sandwich Sunday: We assemble 40 complete lunches each month to nourish adults at the
North Side Housing & Supportive Services Emergency Overnight Shelter.
Family Dinner: We prepare fresh and frozen meals to nourish friends and members of our church who need the extra comfort.
If you, or folks you know, need this kind of nourishment, please contact the
church office by e-mail or phone at 773-525-0605.
